Many people think that chiropractic care is based mainly on the treatment and care of the spinal column. While this is true, it is also based on the fact that the spinal column impacts most of our actions as it encases our nervous system, which helps in coordinating our tissues, muscles, and our organs. Having a healthy spinal column contributes to our overall function, whether you are pregnant or even when you are a kid. There are three treatment stages that contribute to chiropractic care. These stages are: relief care, corrective care, and maintenance care.

Relief Care

During the relief care stage, we help provide a temporary solution to relieve any and all feelings of pain the patient may be experiencing. We do this by minimising inflammation and restoring joint function through spinal adjustment. This gives us time to find the root cause of the pain so that we can find better ways to resolve the condition on a more permanent or long-term basis through corrective care.

Corrective Care

At this point, our chiropractors do a proper assessment and decide what the best course of action is based on factors like the patient’s health and age. These may include a few targeted exercises that will further strengthen the spinal column and the muscles to assist in the rehabilitation process. This addresses incorrect muscle patterns and trauma and serves as both corrective and preventive care.

Maintenance Care

At the final stage of care, we monitor our patients to make sure that their healing is sustained so that injuries or pain will not occur again. We usually ask our patients to keep us updated about their daily activities and how they are progressing as days go by. This is probably the hardest thing to do though because people take for granted their recovery and do not address the fact that they are still prone to damage their spines again if they are not careful.

No matter what stage you are in, we make sure that we cover all the aspects to be able to get you into great shape and for you to have optimum performance again. Contact our office today for enquiries or book an appointment to consult with one of our practitioners.

Physical injuries are not things you should just shrug off and take lightly as they can lead to even more serious complications, and even disability, if left untreated. And even though people take it for granted most of the time, it is not uncommon to hear about people in our lives suffering from different types of pain that have been brought about by physical injuries. These physical injuries can happen to anyone at any time and they can range anywhere from minor to severe.

Paediatric Care

Chiropractic care is an effective and affordable alternative to addressing children’s health conditions linked to the nervous and musculoskeletal systems. This program by licensed providers involves gentle and non-invasive healthcare. Chiropractic adjustments are drug-free and are done to prevent, resolve, and treat a wide range of health problems. Research from the International Chiropractic Paediatric Association’s (ICPA) shows that spinal manipulative therapy is safe for children of all ages.

Chiropractic care for expecting mothers is essential in providing balance to pelvic muscles and the spine. Pregnancy causes a woman’s spine and pelvis to undergo many changes and adaptations in order to accommodate the growth of the baby. This increases the mother’s risk of nervous system interference. Chiropractic care for pregnant women deals with specific techniques in order to enhance the nervous system’s function.

Family Wellness

As a family-based practice, we know quite well that regular chiropractic care for both children and parents is vital. However, many people often steer clear of a chiropractor’s office because they feel like they do not need any form of spinal adjustment or treatment. Unfortunately, not a lot people realise that having themselves checked will help them develop and optimise their wellness. Thousands of chiropractors around the world agree that…
